Many schools in Barnsley have wound up the school year for 2011 with some festive concerts and nativity plays.
But it’s been a regular debating point on We Are Barnsley’s Facebook wall about whether or not parents are allowed to film and photograph them.
Although no formal guidance had been given from the council, many schools chose to ban parents from filming nativity performances, instead having a teacher film it and sell the DVD to raise money for school funds.
Many parents were supportive of the fund-raising but disappointed that they wouldn’t be able to film their own child themselves.
What do you think? Have you managed to get some footage of your kids in action that they will cringe at in years to come? Or were you not allowed to film?
